45 tripod kerosene stove with cast iron grate, old box, and accessories. This tripod stove probably dates to the 1920s with the cast iron grate, air release screw, stamped filler cap, etc. It has an Optimus burner and includes the grate, three legs to support the grate, a steel heat diffuser, pricker and wrench.
The wrench can be used to move the heat diffuser when hot. There is a K stamped on the pump handle. The cast iron grate has been repaired a long time ago with nails used as rivets to nicely secure the pieces together. The stove preheats with alcohol and the roarer burner runs well after preheating. I loaned the stove to the Canadian Broadcasting Co. In 2003 to be used in a documentary of a re-creation of an early film made of an Eskimo hunting expedition on the eastern side of Hudson Bay under winter conditions.
The stove is shown running during the documentary. 45 tripod kerosene stove, cast iron grate, old box & acc.Movie prop" is in sale since Monday, June 21, 2021.
